Vocal Mastery at Studio Amphion. Studio Amphion is unique in its combination of vocal training and performance support. In operation since 1995 in Victoria, the studio welcomes mature men and women (and children), and aspiring professionals who desire to develop themselves personally through the voice, and who are open to deepening their own creative expression.
Vocal training involves the development of powerful technical skills:
· Breathing and support
· Increasing your range
· Developing resonance –
increased volume through proper placement
· Vowel improvement
· Sight reading
At Studio Amphion, this is combined with training a mindset of personal mastery, which supports the vocal training. An emphasis on commitment and practice encourages an attitude of accountability and develops into strong vocal presentation skills. Pertinent questions are asked to explore motivation and resistance. Your awareness of yourself as an instrument will be enhanced. As part of the coaching, we work together to build your commitment level, develop a deeper connection to the poetry in the song, and to your audience. Positive thought patterns will be developed. The bi-product of this work is better self-awareness, greater self-confidence and a more relaxed and genuine presence. The speaking voice is improved and better breathing means you are more relaxed!
Complementary midi-files are emailed to you directly and custom-made practice CDs are available for a small fee, to enhance your learning of your music and your practice pieces.
